Job Description

Position Summary: Procurement managers shall be responsible for sourcing capabilities and supply chain. S/He are responsible for strategizing and negotiating with suppliers and vendors in order to acquire the most cost-effective deals and to reduce procurement expenses.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Developing procurement strategies that are inventive and cost-effective.
  • Sourcing and engaging reliable suppliers and vendors.
  • Liaises with key company employees to determine their product and service needs
  • Negotiating with suppliers and vendors to secure advantageous terms.
  • Determination of quantity and timing of the deliveries
  • Monitors business trends and product availability to pay the best price for company goods and services without sacrificing quality or delivery times
  • Reviewing existing contracts with suppliers and vendors to ensure on-going feasibility.
  • Building and maintaining long-term relationships with vendors and suppliers.
  • Approving purchase orders and organizing and confirming delivery of goods and services.
  • Monitoring and updating purchase orders as well as tracking of the costs and delivery dates to compare them with the agreements.
  • Performing risk assessments on potential contracts and agreements.
  • Controlling the procurement budget and promoting a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs.
  • Overseeing and managing the Procurement systems that track shipments, inventory, and the supply of goods.
  • Oversees a team performance and guide them.
  • Preparing procurement reports.
  • Preparation of forecasts on changes in the market or price as well as on the own demands
