Population Services International/Nepal (PSI/Nepal) began operations in early 2002 and has been partnering with the Government of Nepal, the private sector, and local and international organizations in areas of nationally defined health priorities to create health solutions that are built to last. PSI/Nepal has been capacitating private sector health services delivery system since last two decades and in parallel providing technical assistance to strengthen public health facilities to deliver primary health care and increase access to family planning and reproductive health services. PSI/Nepal with its expertise and experience in social and behavior change communication, clinical quality assurance, monitoring and evaluation and digital health interventions focuses on designing client centered health care projects to address reproductive health challenges affecting women of reproductive age. With an emphasis on consumer powered health care, PSI/Nepal invests in improving health care market for product and services, and develop solutions that are affordable, convenient, and effective, to help make universal health coverage more of a reality. In the past, PSI/Nepal has successfully managed HIV, malaria, menstrual hygiene management and health and hygiene projects. Currently, it works in areas of family planning, sexual and reproductive health and maternal and newborn health with health systems strengthening at its core. Job Location: Based in Kathmandu

The PBCC/IPC Asst. Manager is responsible for leading the PBCC and supporting IPC program activities. S/he manages and coordinates the field implementation of PBCC/IPC activities in accordance with standards; contributing to the design and implementation of the provider behavior change communication (PBCC) and medical detailing strategy, branding and non-monetary incentive (NMI) scheme, conducting regular analysis and reporting of data and information related to franchising and providers. S/he works in close loop with the Asst. SF Manager in identifying the needs of the network providers and ensuring that they are motivated (via training, promotional materials, non-monetary incentives etc.) for quality service delivery and meeting the standard of the franchise network.

Required Qualification:  

  • Master’s Degree in related field 
  • Minimum 3 years of progressive working experience in Interpersonal Communication and Counseling for behaviour change of target audience
  • Expertise in implementation of Behavior Change Communication interventions geared towards sustainable health behaviours
  • Knowledge of health system of Nepal and health services from private sectors in Nepal
  • Mission-driven with desire to make a meaningful impact
  • Advanced computer skills with working knowledge of design and production of marketing collaterals 
  • Strong writing and reporting skills
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills in both English and Nepali
