Job Description

Contract Type: Fixed term contract with three months of probation period

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor Degree in Public health/Management/ Development studies/ Rural Development with minimum two years’ experience in similar role preferably in NGO/INGO

Skills and Abilities 

  • Knowledge in MS office package particularly in excel, power point, word 
  • Facilitation skills
  • Communication skills (Nepali and English)
  • Incumbent with two wheelers driving license is preferred

Key Responsibilities:

Planning

  • Support in the annual planning of training and capacity development 
  • Assist in planning orientations, trainings, workshops, etc.
  • Support in creating roster of available training facilities and resource persons related to the project goal

Develop and/or revise training materials

  • Collect available BCC/IEC materials and develop IEC/BCC materials as per necessity
  • Assist in developing/revising training curriculum, orientation guidelines/manuals and content for online portal  
  • Assist in revising training materials as per necessity 

Provide support to develop the skills and capabilities of staff

  • Collect and compile Training Need Assessment (TNA) based on the plans and activities
  • Assist in developing orientation/training manual and disseminate them among staffs 
  • Evaluate the process/outcome of the training
  • Provide feedback to the participants and concerned authority for further improvement
  • Support in organizing follow up trainings/refreshers
  • Process employee requests for outside training while complying with policies and procedures
  • Collect necessary documents, articles and research publications for online learning platform.

Communication and Coordination 

  • Explore available training resources and opportunities to provide training to KFN team members.
  • Maintain regular communication and coordination with possible partners: National Health Training Center (NHTC), Province Health Training Center (PHTC), Nepal Medical Association, Nursing Campuses, District (Public) health Offices, Medical faculties of universities, etc.
  • Ensure prompt reporting to the supervisor including challenges, learning, information or any other information that is relevant to training and leadership related and maintain regular communication with supervisor and province/central office

Recording and Documentation

  • Maintain proper documentation of Planning, Reports and Training Need Assessment 
  • Document learnings, resource materials and manuals in a systematic way.
  • Review and reporting of online portal regularly and provide feedback
