Options seeks a Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Officer in Nepal to provide technical assistance under the Data for Decision-making Thematic Area. The key purpose of the Thematic Area is to ensure evidence-based planning and decision-making is practiced and embedded in government processes sustainably.
Responsibilities:
Nepal Health Sector Support Programme (NHSSP) is a technical assistance programme to the Government of Nepal’s Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), funded with UK Aid, designed to support the goals of Nepal Health Sector Strategy (2015/16 - 2020/21) and contribute to the MoHP’s efforts to provide quality health services leaving no-one behind. It is implemented by a consortium led by Options, with HERD International and Oxford Policy Management.
The Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Officer will provide TA under the Data for Decision-making Thematic Area. The key purpose of the Thematic Area is to ensure evidence-based planning and decision-making is practiced and embedded in government processes sustainably.
The key objective of this role is to support the NHSSP programme to build evidence and support internal learning for better programme delivery, as well as to share learning with key counterparts and other external audiences. The MEL Officer will contribute to the planning of monitoring, evaluation and learning activities to ensure that the objectives of the programme are achieved. They will work closely with the programme’s Communications and Advocacy Manager on an ongoing basis to keep them abreast of documented learning and identify key pieces to re-package and disseminate internally across the programme as well as to external audiences.
