Job Description

Work Purpose: To ensure that relationships with district government and contracted NGO partners are maintained to enable the LPA to work in effective partnership with them. This includes representing the LPA in district meetings and communicating accurately regarding WV’s work; maintaining information and records about progress in the LPA that can be used to demonstrate progress and challenges; managing the contractual processes when WV is contracting an NGO or government; leading the report writing process for LPA reporting; and arranging LPA level events.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience required: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferably Master’s) in Social Science/Development Studies/Research or relevant subject from recognised university with least three years’ work experience in relevant field
  • Strong analytical and logical thinking skills
  • Good knowledge on data collection methodologies – qualitative and quantitative
  • Detail oriented, and ability to distill large amounts of information into useful summaries
  • Confident enough to represent the organisation and collaborate with government
  • Good report writing skills; with fluency in Nepali and English – both oral and written
  • Competent in using MS Word, MS Excel and PowerPoint presentation
  • Ability to work effectively and sensitively in the cultural context of Nepal
  • Experience in using logical frameworks, project evaluation and monitoring
  • Self-motivated, confident, independent, creative, with strong analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and ability to maintain confidentiality
