  • The position holder should have good track record on monitoring and evaluation and research. S/he should have strong analytical and research skills, ability to think strategically, strong facilitation and presentation skill using participatory approaches, excellent writing and documentation skills, expertise in databases, MS Office and other analysis software such as SPSS, excellent verbal and written communication in Nepali and English language, coordination skill, good negotiation skill,  Additionally, knowledge of local languages, ability to work under pressure/stress and adjust to difficult living and working condition, will be added benefit for the position. S/he should be reliable, accountable, values diversity, have the ability to set and achieve challenging goals, build effective relationship with team, demonstrates highest level of integrity and be creative.


Job Description

  • Under the overall supervision and guidance of MEAL Specialist, the MEAL Manager is responsible to take lead in developing and managing Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning system for Save the Children Nepal/Bhutan. This includes developing overall MEAL framework, reviewing project proposals from result based management perspective, facilitate program units in developing minimum standards and standard process for all key program interventions to strengthen program quality, developing monitoring and evaluation systems and regularly keep track of monitoring and evaluations actions for generating and sharingkey lessons learnt.. Together with program team and implementing partners, s/he will be responsible to develop and manage beneficiaries’feedback mechanisms, to strengthen accountability.

Term and Location:  Fixed term position, based in Kathmandu with frequent travel to the fields.
