Functions as regional program development officer
Monitoring, evaluation and project support
- To support, organize and implement evaluation / monitoring or appraisal missions for the region.
- To organize and implement any project support mission or remote project support as requested.
- To facilitate linkages between project departments in the region on implementation methodologies and lessons learned.
- To organize / implement / control the local implementing partners training and evaluation so as to ensure the inclusion of ACTED methodologies, including participatory approaches, AMEU tools, project management tools and other relevant tools and methodologies.
- In partnership with project teams, to support the set up and improvement of monitoring and evaluation tools / methodologies for a value-added inclusion in ACTED projects.
- When requested, to ensure the link between ACTED, country authorities and partners for the compilation and analysis of data.
Production of timely, precise and analytical reports and proposals
- To understand, analyze and communicate donors procedures.
- To support the production of reports and proposals to donors through the establishment of a continuous link with country teams and appropriate data gathering and analysis production.
- To work closely with AMEU department to incorporate results of evaluations done in reports and proposals to donors.
Development of an external communication strategy
- To define activities, resources, partnerships and target groups relevant for ACTED, in particular through the gathering of adequate information on the countries and through the understanding of donors and potential partners strategy.
- To ensure the follow-up of public relations, updating of regional databases and support potential communication to external media through adequate back-ups.
- To answer requests from ACTED HQ on projects in the region.
- To participate to ACTED global communication through sending of regular project reports, photos, and articles for the ACTED newsletter.
- To support the preparation of the ACTED annual report.
