This can range from creating ‘hard’ infrastructure such as transport networks that link impoverished farmers to markets or communities to health facilities, through to developing ‘soft’ infrastructure such as the institutions, systems and skills required to deliver public services to the disadvantaged or to support inclusive economic growth.

IMC Worldwide: A DT Global Company is working actively on various projects in South Asia and is looking for suitable candidates 

Position : Legal Counsel

Scope of Work:

  • Good understanding of contract law, transfer of property procedures and arbitration & dispute mechanisms in South Asia and preferably aware of foreign arbitral proceedings.  
  • Excellent drafting skills and should have experience in project finance deals in the infrastructure sector, preferably related to hydro and industrial sector.
  • Should be able to assist in drafting and reviewing of legal documents such as EOI/ EFQ, RFP, MOU and Concession/ Project Development Agreements. 
  • Should have a good grasp of commercial nuances associated with such legal work.
  • Should be able to provide legal opinion on legal issues pertaining to selection, approval, execution, and development of projects
  • Experience of 4 to 5 working years in corporate laws. Individuals having awareness of litigation practices in South Asia will be preferred. 
 

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Preferably full time (2 years) LLM after completing the LLB programme from a recognized university. Experience candidates who can evidence legal acumen along with legal nuances/ understanding are also encouraged to apply.
  • Preferably, at least three years of working experience in business/investment of projects within either a private sector corporate body, bank, financial institution or government development-focused agency/authority
  • Appreciation of financial planning/appraisal, project development, implementation and management; and, monitoring and evaluation
  • Preference will be given to candidates who have been involved in project finance and financial closure activities in the infrastructure sector.
  • Proven experience in undertaking research and related publication
  • Proven experience in conducting training and event management
  • IT software proficiency (MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) with good report-writing and presentation skills.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English
