Job Description

We are looking for a Senior IT Assistant to provide enterprise-level assistance to office staffs and our customers. You will diagnose and troubleshoot network, software and hardware problems and install applications and programs.

Senior IT Assistant responsibilities include resolving and configuring operating systems, network tools and other systems as required. You will use email, phone calls and chat applications to give clients quick answers to simple IT issues. For more complex problems that require nuanced instruction, you will contact clients via phone and/or provide clear, written instructions and technical manuals.

Ultimately, you will be a person to help our staffs in all the technical issues and one our customers trust. They will rely on you to provide timely and accurate solutions to their technical problems.

Responsibilities:

  • Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers and scanners
  • Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks
  • Research and identify solutions to software/hardware issues and solve the same
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues
  • Responding in a timely manner to service issues and requests
  • Track computer system issues through to resolution, within agreed time limits
  • Properly escalate unresolved issues to appropriate internal teams (e.g. software developers)
  • Providing technical support across the company (this may be in person or over the phone)Setting up accounts for new users
  • Repairing and replacing equipment as necessary
  • Testing new technology
  • Possibly training more junior staff members
  • Prioritize and manage several open issues at one time
  • Maintain jovial relationships with clients
  • Document technical knowledge in the form of notes and manuals
  • Prepare accurate and timely reports
  • Ensure all issues are properly logged
