Job Description

I. Job Title: - IT Manager
II. Grade: - Senior Management
III. Level:- M5

IV. Job Purpose: - To maintain information technology strategies by managing staff; researching and implementing technological strategic solutions.

V. Reporting Line:-

  • Upward: - BOD
  • Direct: - COO

B) Terms of reference:-

1. Solution Development and Delivery

  • Provides technical direction for the development, design, and systems integration for client engagement from definition phase through implementation.
  • Bridge the link between IT Staffs and IT Consultant/Solution
  • Applies significant knowledge of industry trends and developments to improve service to our clients.
  • Easily recognizes system deficiencies and implements effective solutions.
  • Accomplishes information technology staff results by communicating job expectations;planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining the outsourced employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintains organization's effectiveness and efficiency by defining, delivering, and supporting strategic plans for implementing information technologies.
  • Directs technological research by studying organization goals, strategies, practices, and user projects.
  • Recommends information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes; identifying problems; evaluating trends; anticipating
  • requirements.

2. Project Management and System Audit:-

  • Completes projects by coordinating resources and timetables with user departments
  • Verifies application results by conducting system audits of technologies implemented.
  • Preserves assets by implementing disaster recovery and back-up procedures and information security and control structures.

3. Budgeting and Controlling:-

  • Accomplishes financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective action.
  • To ensure that the IT implementation expenses is within the budget

4. Quality Service Management :-

  • Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
  • To develop Customer Relation Management software that would best fits for the organization standards

5. Internal Operations:-

  • Suggests areas for improvement in internal processes along with possible solutions.
  • Develop internal teams/task forces.
  • Reviews work of development team.
  • Reviews the status reports of team members and addresses issues as appropriate.
  • Complies with and helps to enforce standard policies and procedures.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops;reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
  • Maintaining the good relations with the IT Solutions provider.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Develop strategy for internal operations through help desk management

6. Other Jobs :

  • To develop new and innovative systems as per the vision of top management that would integrate with the organization standards.
  • To report to the top management on the development of the systems on regular basis

C) Skills/Qualifications:

  • MBA with IT Background in Graduation with 3 Years/B.E with 6 years experiences in IT Sectors
  • Should have knowledge of MIS Development and implementation, Technical
  • Management, Technical Understanding, Analyzing Information, Informing Others,Staffing, Problem Solving, Data Center Management, Developing Budgets, Coordination,Strategic Planning, Risk Management, Quality Management
