We are a not-for-profit NGO based in Kathmandu, working in rural communities of Nepal.

Our mission is to empower marginalized communities through equitable, inclusive and holistic development programs. There are four pillars in our developmental approach: Education, Health & Environment, Economy and Basic infrastructure development. These four pillars of development are supported by six major community empowerment programs namely Women’s Empowerment, Children’s Development, Youth Empowerment, Public Health & Medical, Environment Conservation and Disaster Risk Reduction. All VIN’s developmental and humanitarian programs are aligned with UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Interns

Location: 

  • Community Based Development (Tarakeshwor): 1
  • Public Health (Okhaldhunga): 1
  • Child Protection (Okhaldhunga): 1

Tenure: 6 months (1st December 2019 to 31st May 2020)

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Training coordination and facilitation
  • English-Nepali language translation
  • Activities reporting to supervisor
  • Meeting attendance and minuting
  • Public engagement and communication
  • Fulfill additional tasks agreed with the supervisor

Stipend:

  • For Okhaldhunga: Rs. 13,000 per Month (with food and accommodation)
  • For Tarkeshwor, Kathmandu: Rs. 10,000 per Month 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in a related field (A final year student or recently graduated to similar fields)
  • Eager to work in an intercultural setting
  • Attitudes towards working in rural areas
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
