Street Child is an international charity based in the United Kingdom that aims to create avenues for out-of- school children to access education by through an integrated approach that strengthens the capacity of teachers, schools and communities to sustain their investment in the education for their children.
Following the devastating earthquakes in April and May 2015 that left more than 1 million children out of school and destroyed or damaged over 50,000 classrooms, Street Child UK expanded its operations into Nepal to assist local partners to re-establish education in some of the country’s worst affected communities.
With the support of DFID, it is now implementing education and livelihood program targeting marginalized girls in Mahottari, Dhanusha, Siraha, Saptari and Sunsari districts in Nepal.Street Child of Nepal is therefore calling applications in following position for the implementation of its new program:

OVERVIEW
Street Child Nepal is looking for an exceptional individual to drive forward an exciting Impact (also known as Social) Enterprise that will support Street Child’s work with marginalized children and communities in Nepal.
This role is a unique opportunity to make a critical contribution to an organization that is setting up and scaling its efforts to enable children in Nepal to access education that is inclusive, sustainable and life-saving.
Street Child Commercial was established in 2011 as a unique fundraising stream for Street Child in Sierra Leone. A series of shops and cafes in Sierra Leone create a sustainable source of income by turning profits which are then re-invested into projects.
Street Child is currently seeking to create a similar model in Nepal, as well as looking at the possibility of linking an enterprise to its core programmatic work with marginalized communities.
We are looking for an ambitious, social entrepreneur interested in leading this effort from the beginning. Working alongside the Street Child of Nepal team and an external consultant, key responsibilities will include:

The organization has funding for an initial 3-month period, with potential to extend depending on the candidate’s success with sourcing additional start-up capital for the enterprise and/or generating income. This role is really an opportunity to make it your own
The successful applicant must be prepared to live and work in Kathmandu with occasional travel to other parts of Nepal.
The salary will be dependent on experience and fit with the organization. This will be discussed at the interview stage.
