LOCATION: Kathmandu

CONTRACT LENGTH: Fixed term until December 2019 with possible extension

CHILD SAFEGUARDING:Level 1: the post holder will not have contact with children and/or young people, or access to personal data about children or young people, as part of their work; therefore, a police check will not be mandatory for this post unless the content of the post changes, in which case the Child Safeguarding level should be reviewed. 


ROLE PURPOSE:

The HR Coordinator - Recruitment will lead and manage the overall recruitments of Save the Children, which includes managing and facilitating the assessment, revising the existing assessment tools and process and initiate to design new approaches, as required. S/He will also provide necessary support in other HR functions.


KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:

  • Support the Senior HR Manager in the implementation of recruitment objectives, policies.
  • Support the Senior HR Manager on manpower plan & accordingly prepare monitor and control, an efficient recruitment plan.
  • Receive all the job applications, sort and classify based on each profession and store in database for retrieval as and when required.
  • Specific recruitment processing tasks include short listing candidate CV’s against job descriptions, updating vacancy and applicant status within the recruitment procedure, organizing interviews and producing interview schedules, liaising with applicants to provide updates on their progress etc.
  • Proactively plan and manage recruitment for all positions within the relevant sectors including support service; including managing attraction campaigns and candidate sourcing, short listing candidates, skills & personality testing, behavioural interview assessment with line manager and offer negotiation.
  • Arrange for test & interview appointments with the short-listed candidates for testing and administer tests.
  • Promote best recruitment practice, share ideas and information to ensure consistency through a value-added service.
  • Seek out and manage recruitment suppliers; and ensure they deliver a consistent quality & cost-efficient service to the business.
  • Manage vacancy and candidate records on software and, ensuring that all data and information is accurate and up to date.
  • Utilize online recruitment services to attract and source applicants.
  • To generate monthly section reports.

Occasional Significant Duties

  • Supporting Save the Children’s dual mandate of development programmes as well as being the leader in emergency preparedness and response for children.
  • Organize and manage technical and programmatic inputs for the adolescent, MNC Health program partners and consultants so as to ensure smooth operations and ownership of the program by in-country counterparts and partners
  • Develop annual work plans

QUALIFICATION

  • Master’s degree in Management or related fields

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • At least 3 years’ experience in managing recruitment and selection process, preferably at I/NGOs
  • Knowledge in Human Resource Management
  • Good planning, organizing, coordination and monitoring skills
  • Ability to work in a complex environment with multiple tasks, short deadlines and intense pressure
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office and in the Nepali & English languages
  • Higher degree of taking initiatives and has ability to work independently
  • Strong interpersonal communication and coordination skills
