Job Description

Work Purpose: The role of this position will be to support in implementing the MCHN project in Udaypur district under the guidance of Area Technical Coordinator (ATC) - MCHN. It is specifically responsible to assist in organising and conducting nutrition and health related training to staff, volunteers and monitoring of activities at field level.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience required: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Health/Health Education with at least one years of experience or Certificate Level in General Medicine (Health Assistant – HA) from recognised university/institute with at least two years of experience in health and nutrition project. 
  • Good knowledge of community based health projects
  • Knowledge and skills for conduction research and studies in the areas of MCHN including data management
  • Good knowledge of Infant and Young Child Feeding (IYCF) , Safe Motherhood, WASH, Nutrition, Reproductive Health and Integrated Management of Neonatal and Childhood Illness (IMNCI)
  • Good analytical and report writing skills in English
  • Good knowledge of participatory teaching methodologies (e.g. child to child)
  • Experience in developing and adapting training materials
  • Good community mobilization abilities
  • Strong capacity building and facilitation skills
  • Ability to travel to isolated project areas 
  • Competent in using MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint presentation 
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills in English and Nepali  
  • Ability to work under pressure and can take additional responsibilities
  • Willingness to commit to World Vision ethos, vision, mission and core values
  • Self-motivated, confident, independent, positive learning attitude and concern for the poor and vulnerable people
