Women’s Rehabilitation Centre (WOREC) is a national level NGO working for women's human rights and to ensure women empowerment with feminist value through protection and promotion of human rights and social justice focusing on campaigns- against violence against women, and women's economic, social and cultural rights nation-wide. We currently work in 19 districts with district offices in Morang, Sunsari, Udayapur, Siraha, Dhanusha, Dang, Kailali, Mahottari, Sarlahi, Rukum, Kapilvastu, Rupandehi and, Surkhet with Central Office in Lalitpur. Position Description :

The Grants and M&E Manager will work under direct supervision from Executive Director and Program Director, work with support from all the Program Officers, Program Coordinators and Documentation Officer, lead and guide support in data collection, analysis, and track activities implementation, achievements and good practices to help ensure accountability and efficiency from start to end of all programs and projects, both new and established within the organization and its outreach. The Grants and M&E Manager will design the grant programs, determine funding needs, research funding opportunities and write for the grants. The Manager will work together with the program, knowledge management, database and account units and provide technical support, work closely with program teams to develop project proposals, assess field conditions, impacts of program/projects, support capacity building initiatives, and collect and analyze the quality data (qualitative and quantitative data) under the supervision of Executive Director

Education Qualification and Skills: 

  • Master’s degree in social science, law, business administration or other related field 
  • At least five years of experience in similar position
  • Have methodical and strategic thinking
  • Good communication skills
  • Project management skills
  • Excellent organizational skills 
  • Budgeting and accounting experience
  • Computer literacy
  • Knowledge of auditing policies
  • Knowledge of donor agencies
  • Strong writing skills

Grants Management :

  • Managing and supporting the grants requirement and implementation for the organization
  • Identify and develop strategies to optimize the grants administration process
  • Perform relevant research to identify available grant opportunities and evaluate the results
  • Directly involve in grant writing by coordinating with coordinators/officers and engage grant writers (if needed)
  • Research for effective and authentic funding opportunities having a lawful registration and proven track record
  • Oversee if the grants are implemented according to the operational and financial needs of the organization
  • Supervise the fund raising team to ensure proper coordination of work
  • Keep the relevant staff informed about upcoming deadlines and deliverables, thereby ensuring smooth completion of work responsibilities
  • Oversee if other grant staff (coordinators, writers and administrators) is complying with their job responsibilities
  • Oversee the job of invoicing, accounting, reporting, and other administrative functions to ensure successful execution of grant process
  • Prepare financial or budget plans and allocation along with the planning and finance department in accordance with each requirement
  • Analyze the budget trends and make recommendations for cost control and reduction for various grants. 
  • Provide detailed reports to the funders and the board of directors with respect to the organization's progress

Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E):

  • The Grants and M&E Manager will be responsible to develop and implement Results-Based Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) System. For this, Manager will work in coordination with relevant program and research team members to design formats, tools and formal M&E guidelines per project for data collection and documentation and provide project related insight to the Central and District level staffs regarding the projects and WOREC’s outreach (CBOs, PNGOs, Community groups etc)
  • Coordinate with relevant internal and external stakeholders, prepare and update formal guidelines, technical tools and standards for M&E activities and promote the use of M&E process in line with organization’s norms and standards for monitoring and evaluation purpose
  • Monitor target Vs achievement of the planned activities along with budget Vs expenses (financial monitoring) on monthly basis. Similarly, take into consideration the log frame of each project and assess the implementation status, achievement, outcomes and impacts of those projects. Work with respective project coordinators to support in documentation, record keeping and reporting of achievements based on the log frame of the projects
  • Analyze case study, success story, case documentation accordance to interventions made by the organization (case storied related to right to food, livelihood, health, migration and access to justices) through different projects with support from Database and Documentation Unit
  • Validate, analyze and utilize the data and recommend necessary corrective measures for the improvement of the projects and programs
  • Develop and review mid-term and annual progress M&E reports. Similarly, support in validation of data in the narrative reports of each program and projects
  • Plan field visit in a periodic basis to capture and record success stories, good practices, achievements and impacts of campaign/program/projects along with cross verification of data provided from field as part of the monitoring and evaluation system
  • Contribute to the campaign as per the requirement inside the organization and attend relevant internal meetings, workshops and other discussion forums
  • Attend related internal and external meetings, workshops and other discussion forums organized by organization, partner and donor agencies
