About The Role:
We are seeking a motivated and responsible individual interested in gaining grant writing experience supporting a mission-driven nonprofit. The Grant and Funding Officer is part of a team that raises awareness and funds to support Stonestep mission, vision, programs, and services. This role is engaged in fundraising strategies and reporting for existing and new Stonestep Program communities, with a keen eye on deadlines. Individuals must have a strong work ethic and willingness to learn. This position demands a dynamic individual with a demonstrated ability to multi-task and achieves results in a demanding and fast paced environment. Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Identify and secure additional sources of capital beyond the traditional donor base (debt and equity) and develop and maintain a database of potential partners
- Write concepts, business plans, and reports for social enterprise projects; as well develop proposals to traditional donor base where appropriate
- Design budgets and perform budget analysis
- Coordinate implementation and program development with Finance, Grants, Program and Program Development with the Program Manager and Regional CEO
- Conduct specialized research for business development and planning
- Analyze financial projections and past performance for revenue-generating programs
- Travel as necessary to assist in program implementation, design and build partnerships (10-20%)
- Maintain Program Management Tracker and Opportunity Tracker, representing department at meetings (internal/external) as needed
- Oversee and/or closely coordinate with other team staff as applicable
- Research and write grants and reports as directed by the Program Manager and, and the Chief Commercial Officer Asia
- Conduct interviews with program staff to collect statistics and data needed for funders
- Assist with creation of project budgets on specific grants
- Coordinate and create communications to prospective and current grantors as needed.
- Grant editing and support Advancement staff as needed including some administrative duties.
