Qualification:

• Preferably Master's degree in a relevant field such as Gender, Development or related field
  

Experience:

• A minimum of 8 years of experience in designing GESI sensitive activities for development projects 
  
• USAID experience is strongly preferred
  
• At least 2 to 4 years of experience working on GESI  issues in agriculture
  

Other Specification:

• Familiarity with USAID gender policy
  
• Strong computer software skills in MS, Excel, Word
  
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written with fluency in both English and Nepali
  

Job Description:

• GESI Advisor will take a lead role for implementing KISAN II GESI plan under the supervision of Chief of Party
  
• S/he will be responsible for gender equality and social inclusion in all project activities
  
• S/he closely works with the Collaboration, Learning and Adaptation team to design and implement GESI-related learning activities and assesses impacts on women and other socially excluded / vulnerable groups
  
• This position ensures on capacity building of projects staff, partners and grantees on GESI-sensitive programming and implementation
