It is a charitable institution, established and registered in the UK in 1969. GWT(N) ensures that Gurkha veterans, their widows and their wider communities are able to live their lives with dignity. We achieve this primarily through the provision of financial, medical and community aid.

Job Description

A key member of the GWT(N) management team, s/he will be responsible for the effective management of the GWT(N)'s financial operations, policies, procedures and regulatory instructions; ensuring compliance with GWT and external regulatory bodies and also act as the GWT(N) financial expert on matters related to financial operations, budget and strategy. Further, s/he will be accountable for the accuracy and completeness of all financial data including preparation of statutory accounts for audit, ensuring all income and expenditure is correctly accounted within the Trust financial systems in accordance with monthly, quarterly and year end procedures and actively be involved for ensuring financial viability, critical financial analysis and decision making for the trust. Responsible for the GWT(N)’s Treasury function ensuring appropriate cash funds are available and that reserve balances are maintained. As a key enabler to delivering the GWT(N)’s outputs, continue to develop financial processes and operating tools in support of the organisation.
