Job Description

Work Purpose: To facilitate, guide, monitor, support and enable the infrastructure construction/renovations works in schools under the scope of project. S/he will also be responsible for assisting schools to develop and implement school safety plans. In due course, s/he will work closely with respective NGO partners and WV district staffs under the guidance of Project Manager.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline from recognised university or Diploma in Civil Engineering with at least seven years’ work experience in construction work (survey, design, estimation & supervision) including two years community development experience with NGO sector
  • Ability to do construction activities field survey, design, estimation & ensure the specification of construction materials including ensuring the quality of construction works                
  • Competent in using MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint presentation and AutoCAD  
  • Ability to work under pressure and can take additional responsibilities
  • Ability to work in different target groups and in a team
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills in English and Nepali                 
  • Willingness to commit to World Vision ethos, vision, mission and core values
  • Self-motivated, confident, independent & creative with strong analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Positive learning attitude and concern for the poor and vulnerable people
  • 85% field visit in the working area is expected
