Digitization services for UNDP Finance Unit
II. Background
The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) works in about 170 countries and territories, helping to achieve the eradication of poverty, build resilience and the reduction of inequalities and exclusion. We help countries to develop policies, leadership skills, partnering abilities, institutional capabilities and build resilience to sustain development results.
In Nepal, UNDP works together with the people and the Government of Nepal, international development partners, civil society, and the private sector in helping the country achieve the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly focusing on three key areas: a) sustainable and inclusive economic transformation; b) governance, federalism, participation, and inclusion; and c) environmental sustainability, climate, and disaster resilience. UNDP works in coordination with other UN agencies in Nepal, and its activities are guided by its Country Programme Document (2023-2027) agreed with the Government of Nepal under the broader United Nations Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework (UNSDCF) 2023-2027.
In order to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness in keeping the records and filing the documents of UNDP Finance Unit, digitization service is required to archive all the financial documents including vouchers and other supporting documents processed by UNDP CO and it’s all projects.
III. Objectives
The objective of digitization are;
- Enhance the efficiency and effectiveness in keeping the records and archiving the documents of UNDP including all the vouchers, invoices, and other supporting documents, and and update payment and deposit detail in spreadsheet.
- Provide support for the collection and recovery of VAT from Government of Nepal
