Community Led Monitoring

EXPRESSION OF INTEREST (EOI)
The Joint United Nations Program on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS), is an innovative joint venture of the United Nations system, bringing together the efforts and resources of eleven cosponsoring agencies in the AIDS response to help the world prevent new HIV infections, care for people living with HIV, and mitigate the impact of the epidemic.

UNAIDS Nepal intends to support Community Led Monitoring (CLM) initiatives in 7 provinces, so that independent monitoring of HIV and related services by communities (the people) is ensured. This will foster and help programs and institutions to identify barriers and enablers for accessing and utilizing HIV and related services. This initiative also envisions to train and support (including mentoring) members of directly affected communities, networks of key populations (KPS), people living with HIV (PLHIV), and other affected groups to gather quantitative and qualitative data about HIV services. Importantly, this initiative will allow the selected networks and civil society organizations to actively contribute to laying the foundation for designing and implementing appropriately tailored services

UNAIDS Nepal is therefore looking for experienced Community Based Organization(s)/networks of key populations and PLHIV to implement the community led monitoring initiatives. The selected organization(s) will implement the activities in close coordination with the relevant government authorities at all levels, as appropriate.

Eligibility Criteria:
