Job Location: Doti

Key Responsibilities: 

  • The Engineering Technical Officer position will facilitate, guide, monitor, support and enable the infrastructure construction/renovation works under the scope of a Health & Nutrition project in Doti funded by Private Non Sponsorship funding
  • S/He will be responsible for assisting health institutions to ensure building codes and safety standards including disaster resistant standards in coordination with relevant WVIN and other stakeholders (government, committees, community and partner NGO)

Minimum Qualifications and Experience required: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering related with 3 years’ experience or 7 years’ experience in Diploma in Civil Engineering

  • Must have knowledge and skills of project implementation
  • Ability to work in different target groups and changing condition
  • Ability to do smooth implementation of construction projects from inception to completion
  • Ability to ensure specification of construction materials & also ensuring the quality of construction works
  • Basic computer literacy in using Microsoft Office Package as well as draw plan and elevation in AutoCad software
  • Will be required to be based in Doti district and work out of partner NGO’s office
  • Will be required to spend at least 50% of work time conducting monitoring and field visits in target municipalities and wards
  • Good interpersonal, problem solving & time management skills
  • Willingness to work under pressure with tight deadlines and to travel and coordination with other departments 
  • Excellent oral and written English & Nepali
  • Ready to take initiatives and exhibit a high level of flexibility
  • Hold a high level of integrity and honesty, self-motivated, confident, and able to work independently
  • Strategic, creative, collaborative and innovative thinking with decision making and problem solving skills
  • Good understanding of Humanitarian Sector

  • Must possess valid Driving License for Two-Wheeler
