Nepal's constitution defines the right to healthcare as a basic right of all Nepalese people. Adhering to the same theme, Adarsha Multipurpose Cooperative Ltd. initiated to establish Adarsha Pharmacy and Polyclinic in Ilam District. The primary aim of Adarsha Polyclinic established in 2078 BS is to make preventive health care service affordable, reliable and accessible. The polyclinic operates a quality and well equipped Lab, Pharmacy and provides Ultrasound service with quality machine.
The nearest location to diagnose health issues for the general population of Ilam, Panchthar and Taplejung district is Birtamod in Jhapa and Siliguri in India. Due to lack of quality health investigation center, people form Mechi Hills are compelled to go Jhapa and Siliguri. Aiming to break that chain, Adarsha MPCL established the polyclinic by collecting small amounts of share from 1500 community people.
