The Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (FDFA), acting through the Embassy of Switzerland in Nepal, is seeking application from qualified persons for this position to work as a Donor Focal Point (80%-100% engagement) for 2 years (fixed term) starting January 2014 until December 2015. The DFP will be recruited by the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (FDFA), represented by the Embassy of Switzerland in Nepal, Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation. The DFP will report to the Head of Cooperation through the Portfolio Manager of the Embassy of Switzerland and maintain contact with the two other MSFP donors on equal basis.
The purpose of the position is to liaise between the donors and the programme, to provide technical quality assurance, and support the donors to reduce policy and fiduciary risks. The DFP will support the MSFP in the following three specific areas:
The Swiss government offers a very competitive package with reference to United Nation P4 level (for proven competencies and extensive experience, the United Nations P5 may also be considered).
