Job Description

Contract :Time Bound Contract – One year

Work Purpose: To work closely with Project Manager – DIPECHO-VIII and the Local Programming Area (LPA) Manager to take the lead on overall implementation and management of the DIPECHO VIII project in the designated district and promote organizational relationship with the relevant local organizations in the respective district.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferably Master’s Degree) in Education/Disaster/Management/Rural Development/Social Science or related subject from recognized university with at least three years professional experience in education or disaster management at the coordinating level;  
  • High level of practical knowledge on education system and policy of Nepal; 
  • Practical knowledge in Disaster Management; good knowledge of development work and humanitarian emergencies in low resource context; 
  • Good media relations and advocacy skills; 
  • Strong interpersonal, networking, coordination and organizational skills; 
  • Experience in the preparation of teaching material and tools, 
  • Good understanding and experience in working with children and communities in Nepal;
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills in English and Nepali; 
  • Competent in using MS Word, MS Excel and PowerPoint presentation, 
  • Ability to operate effectively and sensitively in the cultural context of Nepal, 
  • Willingness to commit to World Vision ethos, vision, mission and core values, 
  • Self-motivated, confident, independent, 
  • Creative with strong analytical and interpersonal skills, 
  • Positive learning attitude and concern for the poor and vulnerable people.
