Brief about Role:

We are looking for a passionate developer for our technology team in Kathmandu Nepal. As an experienced developer, the ideal candidate will work across multiple projects that can include mobile applications, platform development, and more.

Some key characteristics we're looking for:

  • 2-3 years of proven experience in development.
  • Portfolio across a range of projects, such as apps. back-end, web, mobile, etc.
  • Highly adaptable personality, who enjoys constant growth and flexibility.
  • Very organised and professional approach to projects & tasks.
  • An entrepreneurial, start-up working style - Remote work experience is a plus.
  • Project management skills is a plus
  • A passion for all things technology

Responsibilities:

Tactical Work:

  • Coding across projects: front-end/back-end, code reviews, ensuring highest standards of code quality and efficiency are met.
  • Understand development roadmaps and integration of technical solutions within projects.
  • Logging and tracking of tasks in project, and reporting to project managers Copyright | Private & Confidential | Geezerbuild Private Limited 2018 when needed) assisting client requests and liaising with technical counterparts.

Strategic Work:

  • Working with management to optimise and automate development processes.
  • Research and vet new technological innovations related to business optimisation.

Skill Requirements:

Technical Requirements

  • Literate in Computer science, including computer architecture, operating systems, data structure & algorithms, and discrete mathematics.
  • Familiar with computer programming fundamentals, such as OOP, design patterns and functional programming.
  • Understanding between different system architectures and design, such as client-server, distributed systems, service-based architecture.
  • Familiar with multiple processing models such as synchronous, asynchronous, multithreading, batch processing.
  • Understanding processes in building a scalable and stable system.
  • Understanding of OOP as not only a programming language.
Coding stack requirements

Functional in the following:

  • Linux
  • Node.js
  • Hapi.js
  • MongoDB / MariaDB
  • Laravel sometimes
  • Angular.js
  • Swift for iOS
  • Java for Android
  • Infrastructure on AWS

Tools we use:

  • Development related: Git & Bitbucket, Jenkins
  • Project related: Trello, Slack, Discord, GoogleDrive,
