Job Purpose:
Experienced Nepali senior project management expert with a firm GESI mainstreaming and promotion competency. The program will strengthen disaster risk management capacity and institutions in Nepal in a way that is inclusive, uses best practices and technological innovations, and is adaptive to changes in the situation with specific experiences of working with local government stakeholders. The role will be a senior team member of overall Nepal Urban Resilience Program (NURP) and VSO's team, and will technically report directly to the Team Leader (NURP) with a line management link to the Head of Program – Inclusive Governance, VSO Nepal. As all activities are designed to increase the inclusion and participation of marginalized groups in disaster risk reduction and risk management issues, a key task of the Deputy Team leader is to ensure that consortium activities include and promote participation and responsiveness to the needs and interests of marginalized groups and women through all parts of the programme cycle
