Job Description

Work Purpose: Raise public recognition, awareness of and support for World Vision Nepal Earthquake Response work.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience required: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Organizational Communications, or other related courses.
  • Minimum two years professional experience in media and communications, creative and/or production industry.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Proven experience with Adobe Creative Suite (photoshop, illustrator, indesign)
  • Proven experience with photo management software (lightroom, aperture etc.)
  • Proven experience with video post-production software (final cut pro x, adobe premiere pro, avid, etc)
  • Proven experience with DSLR production cameras for photo and video, including audio.
  • Advanced computer technical skills (Mac and PC)
  • Working independently and as an active team player 
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically, manage to plan and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work in difficult, insecure and stressful conditions.
  • Excellent interpersonal, cross-cultural and communication skills
  • Identifying resource opportunities relevant to audience/s at each stage of the Response.
  • Contribute to creating detailed handover notes and processes for handover to the National Office during transition phase of NER.
  • General communications assistance as required to ensure smooth running of the Communications team.
  • Produce high quality Videos/Photos for local and international audiences
  • Gather photos and videos of visits and produce visitor highlight resources 
  • Ensure World Vision branding, messaging, and style in all community communications materials. 
  • Provide timely photographic and video resources to Nepal Earthquake Response as required
