An international consulting firm is looking for consultants for The Renewable Energy for Rural Areas (RERA) project.

Position 1: Local Long-Term Experts-Capacity Development (Implementation, Coordination, Governance, and M&E)

 Qualifications:

• A bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) or higher in Social Sciences, Education, Engineering, Development Studies or related subjects
  

Experience and Skills:

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in strategic Capacity Development in cooperation with international development partners in the context of rural Nepal
  
• Extensive knowledge on Renewable Energy
  
• Experience in monitoring and evaluating CD-Measures
  
• Good command of written and oral English and Nepalese
  
• Command of other local languages would be an asset
  

Position 2: Long-term Expert- Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI, M&E)

Qualifications:

• A bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) or higher in Gender Studies, Social Sciences, Education, Engineering, Development Studies or related subjects
  

Experience and Skills:

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in GESI in cooperation with international development partners in the context of rural Nepal
  
• Work experience in the renewable energy sectors
  
• Experience in GESI sensitive M&E
  
• Good command of written and oral English and Nepalese
  
• Command of other local languages would be an asset
  

Position 3: Short-term National Experts Pool (at least 5 yrs. experience in related field)

• Expert1: Remote monitoring technologies for renewable energies (Software Engineering or Electrical Engineering)
  
• Expert2: Local Administration (Local Administration or similar qualification and experience)
  
• Expert3: Public and Constitutional Lawyer (Nepalese Public and Constitutional Law)
  
• Expert4: Energy Strategy and Master Planning (Governance, Engineering or Economics)
  
• Expert5: Information Management Expert, Database Design and Programming (Software Engineers)
  
• Expert6: Renewable Energy Subsidy Expert (economics, governance, administration, and engineering)
