ASSIGNMENT
The Community Mobilization Officer is responsible for supporting Coordination, Community Mobilization and site governance activities. The Community Mobilization Officer works under the direct supervision of the Project Coordinator who has final decision on design of strategy, tools, and trainings.

ROLES AND REPONSIBILITIES:
Coordination
- Organize and coordinate bi-weekly Site Coordination Meetings with the sites’ main stakeholders.
- Follow-up on the actions points coming out of the Site Coordination Meetings.
- Ensure constant communication with the main stakeholders (humanitarian agencies, government authorities, security forces, etc.) for the sites under his responsibility.
Community Mobilization
- Coordinate and support the creation of site committees for each informal settlement assigned to the team.
- Provide guidance to strengthen the site committees in order to support the autonomous management of day-to-day activities within the sites under his responsibility.
- Organize and coordinate weekly Site Committee Coordination Meetings to discuss the sites’ main issues as well as identifying gaps and needs.
- Follow-up on the actions points coming out of the Site Committee Coordination Meetings.
- Ensure the participation of women, elderly and PwD in the site decision-making structures.
Referring gaps and needs
- Coordinate the response for each site by identifying the needs and gaps and reaching out to the relevant clusters, humanitarian partners, government authorities or any other stakeholders operating in the area.
- Identify and report gaps and needs to the Project Coordinator.
Monitoring tools
- Collect attendance sheet and minutes for Site Coordination Meetings and Site Committee Coordination Meetings.
- Update and maintain the sites’ 4W, contact list, mailing list and other monitoring tools assigned by his line manager.
Overarching tasks
- The Community Mobilization Officer position is field-based, and foresees daily presence in the sites. The Officer should go to the camp, with his teammates, the full working week and during weekend when needed and/or requested.
- The Community Mobilization Officer may also support his teammates in their daily tasks through.
- The Community Mobilization Officer may undertake any other tasks, within the framework of his/her position, as requested by his/her supervisor
