The LP4Y Alliance is a network of 18 local organizations dedicated to the professional and social insertion of excluded Young Adults (17-24) living in extreme poverty. The Alliance currently operates in 13 different countries.

In teams of 17, the Young Adults gain hands-on experience in developing microeconomic activities as part of a 9-month training period within Life Project Centers. This is followed by 3 months of professional integration. 

Over the past 10 years LP4Y has created 52 programs operating out of 23 Life Project Centers, always close to slum areas in large cities such as Manila, Cebu, Iligan, Cagayan de Oro, Calauan, Jakarta, Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, New-Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Raipur, Chennai, Kathmandu, Yangon, Dhaka, and Beirut. Currently, there are 110 volunteers in Asia working with 700 Young Adults contributing to the development of their country.

GREEN VILLAGE 

Green Villages are established in regions away from the big cities, and offer a pedagogy that is specially tailored for Youth living in rural communities.

A Green Village is an ecovillage built using natural and traditional building methods that respect the environment and aim at a circular economy. A Green Village is a home for young people and for the supervising team, and the infrastructures are made available to the local community.

Each month, the Youth organize activities designed to raise awareness within the community. Soon, all Green Villages will be equipped to organize events to raise awareness about environmental protection and the professional integration of young people.

Green Village Community Catalyst Mission  

Possible location: Kathmandu, Nepal

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Safety and security of Youth
• Be the key contact between Youth Leaders and GV leader during Youth rest time
• Ensure the Youth safety and hygiene of the GV
• Inform the GV leader of any need in term of safety
• Well being & community spirit
• Show an exemplary behavior, be a model of responsibility, safety, community spirit and ecological consciousness to inspire the Youth
• Ensure the good community spirit with the support of the Youth leaders
• Organisation & Management
• With Youth leaders, ensure the smooth running and timing of meals, curfew, and other activities
• Inducement of Youth skills
• Empower all Youth on the running of the center during their rest time
• Support the Youth Leader in the implementation of activities 

For this mission, the animator should be caring and responsible. She/he will keep a positive, encouraging, and valorizing look on the Youth, keeping in mind the influence of the image of himself/herself she can reflect.

Working Schedule:

• Working time : Saturday and Sunday (day & evening), Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday/Friday evening
• Rest time : Tuesday (day & night), Wednesday (day)
• Holidays : 2 days / month + 8 days blank holidays
