CRS is an international NGO based in the United States that works in over 100 countries to promote human development by responding to major emergencies, fighting disease and poverty, and nurturing peaceful and just societies. CRS Nepal implements earthquake recovery and resilience programming in Gorkha and Okhaldhunga districts to provide technical support for reconstruction of earthquake resilient houses, livelihood recovery and WASH. The Housing Recovery and Reconstruction Platform (HRRP) is led by CRS Nepal, and other financial contributors and INGOs.

CRS Nepal is planning to implement 5 years CRS Farmer-to-Farmer (F2F) project that will provide technical assistance from United States (U.S) volunteers to farmers, farmer groups (cooperatives and associations), agribusinesses and other agriculture sector institutions in the countries of Nepal, Benin, Ethiopia, Rwanda, Uganda and East Timor.

Career Opportunities with HRRP Nepal

The Housing Recovery and Reconstruction Platform (HRRP) was established to support the Government of Nepal and Partner Organisations (POs) with coordination of the post-earthquake housing reconstruction led by the National Reconstruction Authority (NRA). The HRRP is currently led by CRS Nepal and has been approved for its third phase that will run until end of February 2019.

Key Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Arts or Communications or Media with major in English with a minimum of 3 years practical experience in producing and managing professional communications and content for development, humanitarian, or recovery efforts in Nepal, particularly related to housing recovery and reconstruction
  • Experience in social media management, preparing professional documents, case studies, graphic design (skills in relevant graphic design software required), and with English to Nepali and Nepali to English translation
  • High proficiency in MS Office Package, including Excel, Outlook, Word
