Build up Nepal is looking for an experienced Civil Engineer to join our team. 
We are working with reconstruction and construction in rural areas of Nepal to introduce interlocking bricks (CSEB) as a new efficient and low-cost construction technology. 

As part of the Build up Nepal team you will be working with reconstruction in rural areas by finding and supporting local entrepreneurs to take lead in rebuilding their own villages.

The work will be 50% from our office in Lalitpur and 50% at our sites especially in rural areas of Nepal. 

Duties and responsibilities:

• Train and teach local builders how to build with interlocking bricks
• Inspect and ensure quality of construction at site
• Explain the technology and teach government officials & government engineers about interlocking bricks
• Make drawings and structural analysis
• Solve technical problems and improve current practices
• Work to find better ways to ensure quality of construction in remote sites
• Organize as well as conduct trainings
• Manage construction projects 

Required skills and experience

• Minimum 4 years working experience
  
• Solid experience in masonry & RCC construction of buildings
• Experience working in the field (as site engineer etc)
• Fluency in Autocad, SAP ETABS and Staadpro
• Experience managing construction projects
• Good communication skills
• A strong desire to work to rebuild Nepal!
