- Handle complete accounts of two trading companies that are importing goods from china. (ON TALLY) right from entry level to preparing final trial balance, profit and loss account, balance sheet, cash flow statement and various schedule and getting the final audit done.
- Day to day accounting entry and review day to day accounting and approve there.
- Report directly to the MD.
- Recruit, manage, and oversee all accounting departments; work with other accounting managers
- Create accounting strategies to maximize profits
- Manage payroll and taxes
- Regularly examine financial statements and ensure they are accurate and free of any errors
- Organize and update financial records; monitor all bookkeeping
- Analyze accounts and suggest improvements to reduce costs and increase profits
- Make sure all financial data adheres to current tax laws and regulations
- Keep company accounts information confidential
- Stay abreast of industry changes and current tax/accounting laws
- Prepare, manage and present monthly reports
- Act as a liaison to outside auditors
- Represent the accounting department at board meetings
Banking and Trade finance Knowledge
- Knowledge of Trade Finance and hands on experience in LC /TT DAP Opening and documentation .
- Knowledge of Credit process to get TR/OD/WCL/STTL/STL Limits sanctioned from the bank and ensure timely repayments of interest and principal amount.
- Submit timely reports to the bank as and when asked by the bank to reflect the financial position of the firm.
- Good PR with bankers and different department of the banks for getting work done smoothly and on time
Taxation Knowledge
- Maintain books of accounts namely ledgers, purchase/sale registers, inventory books etc both MANUALLY and TALLY. The books of accounts must be update at all times.
- Compliance with the requirement of schedule of the companies Act, old and revised schedule of the companies act and other relevant provisions and rules thereon.
- Compliance with the relevant accounting standards & standards on auditing NFRS.
- Compliance with the Nepal Value added tax act, income tax for audit report under section of the vat act and income tax act
- Timely filing the returns like VAT /TDS annual returns etc
- Prepare the books as per the govt. of Nepal norms and get its Audit done through our external auditor.
- Preparation of audit plans and ensure completion of the same within the time
- Review of internal financial management and reforms therein
- Analysis of Debtors and creditors- Ageing, Recovery period, Balance confirmation procedures and legal cases
- Preparation and review of various reconciliation statements.
- Conduct Internal as well as external Audit and resolve discrepancies which may result in the depletion of the P&L.
- Handling head office all vendor, accounting entry review and payments
- Comparing physical inventory of the warehouse from time to time with the inventory of the books and reporting any discrepancies.
