Job Description

Work Purpose:  The Cash and Voucher Manager will support the implementation of the cross-sectoral Response that aims to use cash based programming as a modality for delivery. The position will provide strategic and technical support to ensure effective Cash Based projects are designed and implemented in accordance with the highest humanitarian and World Vision standards. 
The Cash and Voucher Manager will report to the Expat Cash and Voucher Manager, but will work closely with all other Compliance Coordinator, E Card Technical support Officer and Cash teams in the field to ensure the elements of their programs that use cash are implemented according to plan. 

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Support implementation of Recovery Strategy activities across sectors 
  • Responsible for the successful implementation of the Cash Based Program strategies, in alignment with the overall Response and individual sectoral strategies and minimum humanitarian and Cash Based Programming standards. 
  • Ensure Cash Based Program activities meet Sphere, HAP and World Vision International standards. 
  • In conjunction with District Managers, provide matrix management of District Level Cash Based programming staff 
  • Oversee the implementation of any cash programming, including but not limited to Master Card partnership, Multi-purpose cash grants, conditional cash grants, vouchers. 
  • Provide technical input to the development of CBP initiatives. 
  • Liaise closely with other sectors active in WV’s program, to ensure an integrated and consistent approach to cash programming. 

Minimum Qualifications and Experience required: 

  • BA, BBA, B.Com, BSC in Economics, Business Administration, Accounting or related field 
  • Having experience of working in emergencies would be an advantage 
  • Must have good oral and written communication skills in English. 
  • Must have excellent planning, organizing and implementing skills 
  • Must be able to work in remote areas  
  • Must be willing and able to travel nationally up to 75% of the time. Some project locations may be in remote areas. Staff is expected to live in the location for short periods 
  • Thorough knowledge of MS office and Lotus Notes 
  • Must possess excellent knowledge of World Vision systems to track commodity transactions to ensure accountability of resources entrusted to World Vision Nepal.
