S/he will be responsible to work closely with selected local CSOs to build their institutional and individual capacity through regular monitoring, coaching and on-site troubleshooting in identified areas such as advocacy, governance, social accountability, participatory evidence-based research, gender and social inclusion and others to enhance their capacity for constructive government engagement and public service oversight. The incumbent will be responsible to work in tandem with the project’s team to conduct Organizational Capacity Assessment (OCA) and Advocacy Readiness Index (ARI), develop methodologies and materials for mentoring and coaching; provide regular coaching and mentoring to CSOs throughout the project’s lifecycle; support CSOs to the development of capacity development plans, advocacy strategies, charter on prioritized policies, evidence-based research, performance monitoring systems and tools; facilitate CSOs to use Social Accountability tools and forge partnerships with like-minded organizations for public service oversight.
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in relevant field with a minimum of 7 years of work experience in capacity development of CSOs/media organizations though mentoring and coaching in above-mentioned areas. Solid knowledge of Nepalese civil society and demonstrated ability to transfer knowledge through training, mentoring and coaching is required.
