Job Summary: 
The Business Development Executive is a full-time position. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of sales, marketing, customer service and new business development in tourism industry. We're looking for an enthusiastic individual who is ready for a career in travel (and not just a full-time job) and who have a drive to succeed in new business development, sales & marketing, and a passion for a knowledge of the continents in which we operate. The Business Development Executive reports to the CEO [Based in Nepal] and Sales & Marketing Director (Based in United Kingdom) and works in our Nepal office.

Essential Responsibilities:
Responsibilities of the Business Development Executive include the following:

INDEPENDENT & TEAM WORK: 

  • Candidate must be comfortable working independently and with a small team locally and internationally. Candidate must be a self-starter and well organized

Key responsibilities:

  • Find leads and set up meetings through cold-calling
  • Build weekly leads report
  • Introduce new clients (overseas travel companies] to Lumle Holidays [B2B division]
  • Maintain call back calendar to ensure all clients call back expectations are met or exceeded and follow/maintain daily lead management report
  • Prepare and submit quotes to prospective clients
  • Create and distribute relevant promotional literature
  • Attend appropriate travel trade fairs; exhibitions to meet prospective clients and suppliers
  • To work to and achieve targets - these will be reduced for the first 3 months

Other Requirements:

  • A minimum of six months' experience in a sales role
  • The proven ability to exceed your sales targets
  • A passion for travel
  • Strong communication skills
  • Customer service & selling skills
  • Results orientated
  • Strong organization & time management skills
  • Will be able to prioritize and multi task
  • Will could build rapport with clients
  • Must be able to work in any other areas of the business within the company as required by the line manager
