Duties & Responsibilities
Program Finance related Responsibilities
The Associate Program officer will act as a program finance focal person in performing the following duties:
- Ensure that funds are requested by the projects as per the time line and funds are processed as per the budget approvals
- Monitor the effective utilization of project grants to partners so that they meet the relevant standards of accountability and fulfil the requirements necessary to ensure continued access to donor funding including donor reporting
- Ensure that the monitoring status regarding the transfer of funds and the status of the financial statements
- check and the circulate the pre-filled Financial Statements and ensure project returns the audited statements to CBM before the deadline
- Ensure compliance and accuracy for all Partner Financial Statements and to process and finalize
- Ensure to send the finalized checklist copies to the projects once they are finalized
- Assist Finance Manager in conductingfinancialevaluation of the projects and coordinate with external auditors/consultants as per schedule
- Ensure timely submission of financial reports and other documents and sending them to the donors
- Supportthe Finance Manager in planning and conducting the financial training/workshops/capacity building events
- Monitor the designated funded projects special report requirements
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Finance Manager
Program related Responsibilities
The Associate Program Finance Officer will act as a focal person for 2 NCO Regular Projects and will report the Senior Programme’ Officer in performing the following duties
- Identification of capacity building needs of the 2 assigned partner projects
- Ensure proper documentation, knowledge sharing and sharing of good practices in the assigned projects
- Assist Senior Programme’ Officer in planning, initiating and developing MYPs/ annual plans and special initiative.
- Assist Senior Programme’ Officer in supporting cross cutting initiatives ,DIDRR initiatives and development of inclusive Programmed in coordination with partners and CC teams
- Coordinate with MAs , RO and other stakeholder as on when required
