Qualification and experience:

  • Minimum Bachelors’ Degree in computer science or equivalent from a reputed institution with 2 years of experience in Cyber security related field
  • Broad background of networks, operating systems (Window, Unix, Linux), firewalls and security engineering concepts
  • Good knowledge and understanding of common cybersecurity framework
  • Knowledge of Network Security technology in areas of Firewall, IPS, VPN, Gateway security solutions (proxy, web filtering)
  • Good Understanding of common information architecture frameworks

Profile:

  • Analytical thinker willing to “think outside the box” to resolve company impacting situations; able to analyze/understand company risk profile
  • Highlights longer-term implications of issues or situations that facilitates planning for the unit or function. 
  • Self-starter and ability to deliver under defined time lines

Job Description

Department: IT

Unit: Information Security

Duty Station: Current requirement is in Kathmandu but can be placed anywhere in Nepal as per business needs and future requirements.

Main responsibility areas:

  • Assist in developing, assessing, updating and implementing information security strategic plans
  • Assist in developing long term information security roadmap and ensure alignment with group cyber security roadmap
  • Work with other departments to design and implement security strategies across platforms
  • Periodically carry out research on security standards, security systems, authentication protocols, communication protocols and promulgate the findings with the team
  • Implement public key infrastructures, certificate authorities, and other required digital certificates
  • Coordinate within information security team to prepare and provide reports to management, group, and other departments, as required
  • Based on requirement upgrade and manage security systems/tools
  • Plan, purchase and implement information security systems/tools
  • Update/ensure addition of security requirements from requirement/RFP phase for any projects in Ncell.
  • Coordinate/follow up on information security related projects
  • Review/update policies/signatures of IPS/WAF and other applications/tools
