Job Description

  • Chemist in planning and executing laboratory tests according to test procedures
  • Conduct chemical experiments
  • Document test procedures and results and report for analysis
  • Assist in developing standard operating procedures for chemical tests
  • Supervise co-workers in their job duties when needed
  • Support in developing project plan, scope, schedule, and budget for chemical projects
  • Communicate project status to Supervisor on regular basis
  • Setup laboratory equipment, materials and supplies ready before conducting chemical experiments
  • Coordinate, plan, and perform daily laboratory functions
  • Analyze root causes for problems and suggest corrective actions
  • Assist Quality Manager establishing ISO procedures and good lab practices
  • Develop or revise the test analytical methods to ensure quality, productivity and consistency
  • Identify and report new equipment needs to Supervisor
  • Report equipment repair and maintenance requests in timely manner
