  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or any other relevant field with at least 3 years of experience in Finance and Administration. 
  • Experience of working in INGOs, international organizations, and Japanese organizations is an advantage.
  • Good understanding of Nepalese and Japanese government rules and regulations, donor guidelines, and quality control on organizational based activities.
  • Knowledge of tax laws and regulations in Nepal
  • Fluent in English and Nepali, for listening, speaking, and writing.
  • Good reporting skills in both English and Nepali.
  • Computer literate (Accounting Software, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). S/he should have a thorough knowledge of Excel Formula, Word, and PowerPoint layout formatting.
  • Should know project accounting to track the expenses of the project 
  • Should have Nepali Typing skills and knowledge for drafting Nepali and English letters to the government authorities and concerned stakeholders
  • Should have two-wheelers driving license

Job Description

PWJ is currently looking for a suitable candidate for Assistant Admin Officer who would be stationed mainly in the Kathmandu office, Sanepa with occasional travel to the project fields. The Officer will work closely with the international staffs, national staffs and partner organization. S/he will be responsible to support administrating and maintaining account of PWJ Nepal office. S/he would also be responsible for communicating/ reporting to donors, partners, concerned government authorities in central and local level and other stakeholders based on the decision of the PWJ Nepal office.

Under the overall supervision of PWJ office, the Officer will perform the following core functions.

  • Support Admin and Finance Officer to prepare financial statements and reports
  • Support Program staff to check monthly project account of partner organization, and facilitate their financial statements and reports
  • Support Admin and Finance Officer to prepare for project financial audit
  • Correspond with relevant government authorities as per the directions of PWJ office
  • Prepare required document for the government, relevant authorities
  • Maintain the office document and data
  • Maintain the office goods and properties
  • Support office logistics
  • Maintain good understanding of Nepalese and Japanese government rules and regulation, donor guidelines and quality control on organizational and project based activities.
  • Carry out any required tasks from his/her supervisor and support in consultation with him/her
