Reporting To : Narendra Lal Shrestha, Deputy Sales Manager

Job Purpose (Summary of R&R):

Area Sales Manager will be responsible for area that has been designated by JTI Nepal and CG (General Trade, Modern Trade, etc.). Region coverage and effective management of CG's sales operations and local sub-dealer partners in achieving sales, distribution & merchandising objectives in targeted outlets. Responsible for monitoring and implementing sales cycle plans & local programmes and local monitoring of KPI achievement as working with TME Lite team, Marketing, Finance, HR and senior management.

Key Responsibility Area (KRA):

Strategy and Territory Development:

  • Responsible to set territory objectives of each sales supervisor.
  • Develop assigned territories Marketing and Distribution strategies, plan and policies
  • Lead person to organize and coordinate Sales Team and FME to develop programs and execution plans to achieve territory objectives

Team Development and Performance:

  • Ensure achievement of team KPIs on volume, distribution and trade program implementation
  • Manage a highly motivated sales team through regular trade audit and field coaching of Sales Reps and Sales Supervisors
  • Responsible to build a strong collaborative working relationship among sales team and FME in his assigned territory


  • Enforce the strict compliance of Sales Team on establish processes and internal control to drive the business:(Credit Policy, Display Fee Management, Market Returns policy, HR Policies)
  • Monitor trade program implementation and compliance to agreed procedures with marketing team
  • Ensures Sub-d compliance on established CG claim process
Sub Distributor:

  • Responsible to propose and manage sub-d primary sales to achieve 2 weeks inventory
  • Monitor and confirms Sub-d claims based from submitted documents
  • Ensure Sub-d payment to CG is according to agreed credit terms
  • Conducts regular meeting updates with Sub-d on programs and plans
  • Controls Credit Sales in the market and seek alignment with Sub-d on outlets with credit
