Ancillary Revenue  Development Officer

Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Work with DGM Commercial Department to develop and implement H9's Ancillary Revenue Strategy
  • Develop policies relating to ancillary revenue products and ensure they are defined, documented, communicated and understood
  • Achieve airline ancillary revenue targets
  • Work with suppliers and commercial colleagues to continually improve products and distribution
  • Manage RFP process (where relevant) for suppliers; follow airline processes at all times to ensure successful partners are identifies and contracted
  • Manage demand on a flight-by-flight basis to ensure ancillary revenue maximization 
  • Provide regular reports (including both data and commentary) on ancillary revenue achievements; provide top management with insights into product/channel/route trends and issues
  • Maintain an overview of competitors' ancillary activities and suppliers' performance
  • Proactively work with all departments and suppliers to ensure ancillary revenue products are optimized in terms of distribution, customer experience and revenues at all times
  • Where relevant, ensure ancillary revenue products are included in all sales and promotional campaigns

Requirements: 

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Marketing
  • Minimum 3 years experience in an airline ancillary revenue environment
  • In-depth understanding of e-retail technology and latest innovations, not just in aviation but other market sectors 
  • Knowledge of core airline systems and processes including on-board operations and service flows
  • Proven achievements in measured ancillary revenue and customer service KPIs
  • Good presentation skills, strong technology focus, management and leadership skills
