Job Description

Work Purpose: To support in advancing WVIN advocacy efforts for influencing Government policy and practise to provide greater benefits and services to vulnerable children and their families. This will be done in consultation with ADP/LPA teams and key departments of WVIN. This will also involve close networking with other like-minded organisations and government agencies  concerned for the well-being of children in Nepal.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience required: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferably Master’s) In Social Science/Public Policy/International Relations/Law or Social Work  with least three years’ work experience in relevant Field
  • Good knowledge & experience on Human Rights and Child Rights & Policy context
  • Good knowledge on project management, planning cycle, design monitoring and evaluation 
  • Excellent on mentoring and coaching & facilitation, interpersonal relation and listening skills
  • Must be willing to travel to WVIN working areas in rural areas
  • Facilitation, interpersonal relation and listening skills
  • Excellent in analytical, persuading & influencing skills
  • Excellent social skills to build effective working relationships with a broad range of people
  • Good report writing skills; with fluency in Nepali and English – both oral and written
  • Competent in using MS Word, MS Excel and PowerPoint presentation
  • Ability to work effectively and sensitively in the cultural context of Nepal
  • Committed to World Vision ethos, vision, mission and core values
  • Experience in using logical frameworks, project evaluation and monitoring
  • Self-motivated, confident, independent, creative, with strong analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Positive learning attitude and concern for the poor and vulnerable people specially the children.
