Burn Violence Survivors – Nepal, established in 2008, is one of the few organizations working specifically on prevention, protection, advocacy, curative and long-term recovery and rehabilitation of burns survivors. BVS-Nepal helps and supports survivors of burns accidents and violence, such as attempted homicide attacks, normally using kerosene or acid and cases of self-immolation and attempted suicide, often stemming from domestic violence. We have been able to help more than 8500 burns victims, till date, through medical and surgical, counseling, nutrition and physiotherapy since the inception of the organization. BVS-Nepal has successfully provided life skills and vocational trainings to thirty female burns violence survivors, to enable them to start a new life.

Other Specification
  • Bachelor's degree in Management or a related field with a minimum of 3 years of practical experience in finance and accounts.
  • Candidates with a Master's Degree and more experience will be given preference.
  • Good working knowledge of accounting.
  • Fluent in Nepali and English, both spoken and written;
  • Knowledge of Nepal Tax laws and policies; proficiency in SSF / CIT/banking transactions
  • Knowledge of internal control systems; 
  • Experience in using computerized accounting software, preferably FAMAS
  • Proficiency in computer use i.e., Microsoft word, excel, Google drive, email/internet 

Job Description

Finance part 

  • Handle overall day to day financial transactions & admin work & records maintenance, prepare vouchers and entry in FAMAS Software 
  • Prepared the fund request as per plan and send it to the concerned donor 
  • Prepared the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and submit to the Executive director and Donor agencies within the dateline.
  • Strongly review the supporting documentation according to compliance 
  • Experience in handling financial activities of the organization such as; preparing budgets, vouchers, payments, and bank reconciliation along with good knowledge of taxation and social security systems of Nepal;
  • Knowledge and skills in preparing project budgets based on the budget templates of various funding agencies;  
  •  Good strength in preparing financial reports
  • Design and develop necessary payment formats, cost-sharing, and matching of Donor and another grant with the concerned partner,
  • Prepare the financial detail plan (FDIP) jointly with the thematic officer Executive director, NGO partner, and Donor
  • Analyze the Budget Vs expenses report and share to Board ED Head on a monthly  quarterly and semi-annually basis
  • Support to other finance staff for finance reporting 
  • TAX, ETDS, CIT, and salary deposition at the time 
  • Support an organization management team for organization audit and renew 
  • Provide suggestions to  change finance policy and human resource policy 
  • Follow up on the internal  audit's recommendations and donor recommendations
  • Ensure timely submission of monthly requests, reconciliations, and financial statement reports.

Administration/Logistics

  • Establish and implement administration and logistics procedures in line with organizational requirements
  • identify, establish and manage an effective working office for Administration/Logistics

  • Support various procurement committees with documentation.

Project Period:  3 years Possibility of Extention
