All the work would be for the UK and international clients. You will have to work closely with our team in London and clients based in the UK and various countries around the globe. So, you will get exceptional international exposure.

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Manager to join our team. The relevant candidate will play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, supporting various accounting functions, and leading the entire Siliguri Team single-handedly. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Ability to lead, train and guide the Siliguri team.
  • Reviewing and preparation of financial Statements of Companies under UK GAAP, FRS 102 & FRS 105.
  • Helping client maintain their books and accounts and preparing and reviewing working papers, client packs, reporting packs, etc.
  • Dealing with Companies House and HMRC on behalf of clients.
  • Reviewing of individual and partnership tax returns.
  • Review monthly management reports to be prepared and sent to the clients.
  • Helped maintain full bookkeeping and accounting records in VT, QuickBooks, and Xero.
  • Communicated with clients in the UK and overseas via email, telephone, and video conference calls.
  • Review and file quarterly VAT returns in a timely manner.
  • Review bank reconciliations in multiple currencies.
  • Complete special projects and other responsibilities as assigned by the management team.
  • Undertake other ad-hoc duties as assigned to meet the needs of the business.
  • Understand and help resolve the team's queries that might arise during the engagement.
  • Provide training to the other team members.
Qualification and Experience:

  • Education: Must be CA-qualified (preferably ICAI) with 2 years of work experience post qualification.
  • Experience: 2-3 years minimum with exposure in Big 4 firms and prior experience in India.
  • Completion of article ship under a registered Chartered Accountant firm (preferred).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks).
  • Excellent Fluency in English (both verbal and written).
  • Excellent computer skills and ability to learn new software.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
  • Confident speaking with UK and overseas clients.
  • Willing to relocate in our Siliguri office.
